Kennett Coins
This is my personal Morgan Dollar Date set, currently a work in progress. I am always interested in potential upgrades to my set. Feel free to use my contact page and information to send me a message.
Semi-prooflike surfaces accented with some lovely violet toning induced by the Paramont brand Redfield Collection holders. This is the single nicest black "MS60" Redfield holdered coin I have seen. CAC does not review Redfield holdered coins at this time.
This coin is a real eye grabber! Smooth, glassy fields surround heavily frosted devices that pop with surprising contrast for the designation, and make this coin an easy PL despite some slight die polish lines on the reverse. CAC approved.
Sublime surfaces with flashy mirrors and solid contrast make this common date Morgan stand out from the class. The only issue of note is a carbon spot in the southwest quadrant of the reverse. CAC approved.
Stunningly clean and deep mirrors punctuate the year run from 1879-1881 in old fatty holders. Consider it a homage to the incredible work done at the San Francisco mint in the early years of Morgan production. Blatantly undergraded at 65PL, I believe this would regrade as a 66PL or a 65+DMPL today. The only detraction is a small planchet flaw between the third and fourth stars. CAC approved.
An ordinary obverse paired with an extraordinary reverse makes this GSA Morgan a keeper. The reverse has a full spectrum of toning from some light pastels to deep green-blue toning. CAC approved.
Purchased from the prior owner in the original envelope, which likely caused the fantastic rainbow toning you see on this coin. Same source as the 1887. CAC Approved.
A WOW crescent toner that resided in a first-generation PCGS Blue holder when I purchased it. Was sent in with the hopes of a full point upgrade, but it only received a half point bump. Nonetheless, a stunning example. CAC Approved.
My lone Battle Creek Hoard Morgan. Very PQ for a 64, with lovely bag color common amongst the Battle Creek coins, but uncommon elsewhere.
This example features beautiful toning likely imposed on this coin by an extended stay on the end of a roll. CAC approved.
A rainbow crescent envelopes Lady Liberty's head on this otherwise white example. CAC approved.
